It was a privilege for the Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society to have been afforded the great honour of having participated in Cathcart Old Parish Church‘s Interfaith Service and Celebration of the Queen’s 90th Birthday. The service truly highlighted the strength of the interfaith fellowship we share, rooted in good will, compassion, and faithfulness. Mrs Ishrat Hussnain, SABS vice-chair, gave a reading from the Holy Qur’an and said a prayer in closing. The gathering was therefore effused with the worship of people of different faiths, all in the name of Almighty, and under the banner of understanding, trust and humanity. Our gratitude particularly and especially extends to the Rev Neil Galbraith, Parish Minister, for generously inviting our participation, leading the service, and presenting Ishrat and Shabir, SABS chairman, a fine gift as a token of friendship and love. Truly, bridges were built at this special event, and long may they be strengthened.
