The Saltire returned to Cathcart Old after a pilgrimage to Karbala

The flag being held was a token of fellowship given to SABS by the Rev Neil Galbraith. As our tradition states that love for one’s country is part of faith, the youth took this flag to Karbala, Iraq for Arba’een, where 15 million Muslims hailing from every country of the world proudly held their own respective flags whilst paying tribute to Imam Hussain.

Having been taken to the Blessed and Holy Shrines of Iraq, the flag has returned and is held as a symbol of fellowship between people of faiths.
