It was a venerable honour for the Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society to have been present and to have lit a candle at Remembering Srebrenica’s Solemn Commemoration for Srebrenica Memorial Day held at Cathcart Old Parish Church, Glasgow and hosted by the Very Rev Dr Lorna Hood. Tribute was paid as we remembered the horrific genocide of more than 8000 Muslim Bosniaks, and heard survivors tell of their deeply tragic and moving stories. We earnestly pray that the suffering of all those who have suffered, or are suffering, is healed and is never repeated. All life is sacred. And we must learn to never let it happen again.
