The Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society attended the solemn Holocaust Memorial Day Scotland 2020 Service organised by Interfaith Scotland at The Scottish Parliament. The Service rekindled the memory of the victims of the genocide, and those of all other genocides, and saw all participants come together in prayer and thought as members of the Human Family. Emotional, powerful, touching and empowering testimonies were heard from a survivor of the Holocaust, Janine Webber and Hasan Hasanović, a survivor of the Srebrenica Genocide. The First Minister, the Rt Hon Nicola Sturgeon MSP, said at the gathering: “We cannot be bystanders in the rise of bigotry and hatred.”
