In the Holy Month of Ramadhan 2021, on Zoom Ameed Versace and Shabir Beg of SABS were honoured to have had the privilege to have spoken to roughly 30 Christians from around Europe who gathered together around the theme of ‘Experiencing the World of Muslims’ An informal evening of questions and answers, chaired by our good friend Rev Duncan Peters, allowed Shabir and Ameed to share about their family background, their religious experience as Shia Muslims and invite a whole range of questions from Christians eager to hear the experiences of Muslims living in Europe. It was an informative, stimulating and practical evening, mutually appreciated by all involved, and leading to greater understanding of our shared Abrahamic religious backgrounds. Our thanks extend to the Reverend Duncan Peters for facilitating this, fourth year running.
