Advancing our partnership and blood donation awareness programme, the Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society and the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service were delighted to have held a blood donation photo-call at East Renfrewshire Council, with the support of the Provost Jim Fletcher. The gathering brought the focus and attention of members of the region to the very real and universal need for us a nation to continue to donate blood to sustain the levels of the country’s life-saving blood supply, highlighting the work of the Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign. We thank the Provost Jim Fletcher, Rev Canon Nicholas Taylor, St Aidan’s Episcopal Church, Clarkston of the Scottish Episcopal Church, Dr Reverend Grant Barclay, Orchardhill Parish Church of the Church of Scotland, and the regional Shaykh Hyder Baig for their support of the partnership between SABS, the SNBTS and the IHBDC, and their commitment to raising awareness of the need for blood donation throughout the region and their networks.
