Mr Ameed Versace, SABS strategic engagements director, was delighted to have had to opportunity to speak at The Leverndale Hospital in Crookston, Glasgow at an Eid festival celebration that the hospital organised for its patients in the psychiatric unit on Wednesday 20th June. Ameed spoke about the Islamic ordinance of the Fast, the holy festival of Eid Al Fitr, and the importance of viewing ourselves as one human family. Our thanks extend to the Leverndale Hospital and its chaplain, and to Interfaith Scotland. The importance laid on health and wellbeing in Islam is incredibly important and in need of further exploration. There was also wonderful artwork on display created by patients at the hospital as part of their therapeutic sessions.
