Sayed Razawi, as Director General of the Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society, represented Scotland and, particularly, our City of Edinburgh at the United States’ annual Festival of Faiths. Our Alim used the work that is undertaken in Scotland to inspire movement in the USA. The Scottish blood donation drives in Edinburgh, in partnership with the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Services (SNBTS) and Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign (IHBDC), were used as inspiration, in the name of Imam Hussain, for a Multi Faith Blood Drive in Kentucky, launched by the Festival of Faiths.
The Multi-Faith Blood Drive is helped by the Red Cross, the Center For Interfaith Relations and Mayor Greg Fischer. Its purpose is to save lives regardless of faith, colour, gender, language or nationality. Our thanks to Christy Brown for making this happen.
