25th May 2020,
With Police Scotland Chaplain the Reverend Neil Galbraith and Sabir Zazai of the Scottish Refugee Council, the Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society worked with the NHS Louisa Jordan’s spiritual care team to help support the critical work the NHS has set up at the time of this pandemic, and to further build on the important role of key workers within faith communities to the hospital and the wider National Health Service. The NHS Louisa Jordan is a temporary emergency critical care hospital that has been created to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland. Our thanks to David McArthur OBE, NHS Orkney’s Director of Nursing, and Iain Macritchie, Head of Spiritual Care and Wellbeing at NHS Louisa Jordan.
