A huge congratulations to Carrie Alderton from EIFA for the official opening of ‘Our Story’, an exhibition celebrating the diversity of Edinburgh, and the interconnected history of its many faith communities. Councillor Donald Wilson, Convenor of Culture and Communities at the City of Edinburgh Council opens the exhibition at the Museum of Edinburgh which houses a collection relating to the town’s origins, history and legends. It was a privilege for us to share the story of Shi’a Muslims in Edinburgh.
Our Story celebrates Edinburgh’s diversity by uncovering and recording the history of minority religious groups in the city. Each community’s story will be told through their own voices: through interviews and oral history taking, family and community histories have been recorded in the Our Story Project.
Also, a huge congratulations to the team for their Scottish Parliament opening off this exhibition on Thu 16th Nov 2017.
